Holidays

How do you agree on a common destination when everyone is dreaming of a different holiday?

Going on holiday seems simple, until the whole team has to agree on a shared destination and itinerary.

Amid different preferences, arguments and expectations, everyone must make their point of view heard while contributing to a choice that others can genuinely support.

A team discusses a large collage of holiday destinations and compares their travel desires.

Where are we going on holiday?

Faced with a multitude of desires, the team must come up with a joint holiday plan. Participants compare their preferences, explore the needs behind each proposal and look for the most convincing way to move the discussion forward.

Using magazines, journals and evocative props, they gradually give shape to their vision for the trip. The challenge is not simply to argue for the best destination: they have to listen, make their case, accommodate differences and lead the group towards a shared decision.

What the experience reveals

  1. Persuading without imposing

Defend a proposal, understand the expectations of others, and adapt your arguments to win support.

  2. Making room for differences

Accommodate sometimes conflicting preferences, paces and ways of travelling without drowning out anyone's voice.

  3. Moving the decision forward

Transform several individual desires into a clear proposal that the group can genuinely support.

Who it’s for

Holidays is suitable for teams who want to playfully explore their ways of listening, arguing and making a collective decision. The experience is particularly relevant for commercial teams and sales forces: it brings into play needs analysis, persuasion, adapting one's arguments and the ability to rally different parties around a proposal.
